2020 RPEF Forest Frenzy Virtual Race Rules, Terms & Conditions. I know that running a trail race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, cold and snow, traffic and the conditions of the trail, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Rogers Public Education Foundation, all event sponsors, the City of Rogers, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. Information: I. All forms, including your signed registration form, acknowledgement of rules and information and registration fee, must be submitted prior to the start of the run/walk. II. It is suggested that you pre-register online at www.rogerspef.com/trail-run prior to the run as this will save you a significant amount of time at check-in. III. There will be volunteers who will follow the trail until all runners/walkers have crossed the finish line. If you do not feel well and need transportation back to the starting line, do not hesitate to speak with one of these volunteers about your needs. First Aid will be located near the starting line. Rules: I. You will not be allowed on the course before the official start. II. You may not participate with another person’s bib number. III. You are not able to exchange your bib number for any reason. IV. You must obey all directions by course monitors, police, and safety personnel. V. Unregistered participants, unauthorized vehicles, skateboards, bicycles, roller skates, and in-line skates or other motorized devices are not allowed. VI. No pets or animals allowed on the course. VII. You are welcome to wear headphones. VIII. For your safety and the safety of others, please allow room for faster individuals to pass you. X. Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the race in case of extreme weather or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of the participants. In the event of a cancellation, no refunds will be issued. XI. All race regulations comply with liability insurance requirements and work to ensure your safety and the fairness of the race. XII. No refunds will be issued if runner is unable to attend the race.
I further agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 and other communicable diseases, and I attest to having read the CDC’s guidance. I assume all such risks being known, appreciated, and accepted by me.
